Hannah got to play softball yesterday. Finally. This was their first real games. The other teams have been playing for a few weeks so I wasn't expecting much.
They have to wear the batting helmets with the faceguards. I understand why they need to use them but they make for horrible pictures.
I've been used to baseball for 10 years now. Softball on the other hand is a whole new story. Girls are drama. The first team we had to play were mouthing to our girls that they were going to beat us. We told them just to ignore them and just show 'em on the field. And they did. I love it when that happens. Even though this is suppose to be fun; yeah right :)
The second game we lost only by 1 run and was ahead most of the game but it wasn't meant to be.
The third game we played was against an older team and we really weren't expecting them to be able to beat them. We were just thinking it would be a good opportunity to learn and get another game under their belt. But I was wroooonnngggg. They were getting beat 4-0 with our last turn at bat, bottom of the last inning. The girls finally got those bats going and we won. It was so fun and exciting and the girls were so excited.
Hannah did a really good job. She is an athletic girl. She listens and hustles and it's going to be so much fun watching her.
