Colton

The kids have been off all week for Thanksgiving break. Brent took off too. The weather has been beautiful so Colton has been working on clearing off brush & old barbwire under some trees for Brent.

I asked him if he was having fun thinking he would give me a smart butt answer but he said he was enjoying the work. Shock!!!

He said that the dog was slowing him down. When Colton threw a branch to the pile, Max would go get it & bring it back to him.

He did a really good job for a 14 year old boy who sometimes does things "halfed ass" to put lightly :)

I can't believe he is going to be 15 next month. Just seems like yesterday that I was pregnant with him.

Red Belt

Tuesday night Hannah tested for her red belt.

Lots of things to remember. Glad it's her & not me.

Sparring.

Getting her certificate & belt.

Only 2 more belts until she tests for her black belt. Yea!!!

Mom

Just posting these for family who live out of town. They got Mom's stone put in Monday. It really is beautiful. Dad has already been out to place flowers in the vases. Mom would be really proud of him :)

Celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow at our house. Another "first" without Mom here. It's still weird not having her here with us. I think it's going to be weird for a very long time.

Zumba

I started going to Zumba classes back in August. I go twice a week and I love it. I have the best time. Last night, Priscilla Maribal was in Ardmore, OK to teach a master class. She is kind of big in the Zumba world. She kicked our butt. She came over & talked to us after class; she is really nice.

Our little group from Madill. We had shirts made. On the back it says "in touch with their inner hoochie!". I thought they turned out really cute.

This is us after Priscilla kicked our butts. We were moving for a hour. She is in the red tank. The girl got some moves now. I only have moves like her in my head :)

No Excuses

I acquired a bookshelf from my Dad. It had all of my Mom's cookbooks on it so I knew it could hold some of my scrap stuff. He made it out of old fence slabs.

It didn't take long for me to fill that sucker up. I can't believe I had all of this stuff on 1/2 of a table and a little bookshelf. A lot of it was in the floor too.

This is behind my chair so I left things I grab more often on this little shelf.

My 1/2 of the table. I want to get a clip it thing to put my rubons and stickers on. My goal is to find Hannah a little desk to put in her room so I can have the entire table. So I have no excuses not to get crafty. It's all organized and ready to go.

Hello There

My poor blog. I haven't forgotten about you. I haven't done anything crafty in such a long time so nothing to show for that & we really haven't done anything. I did start working the concession stand again last night. Hate the work but like the extra money especially with the holidays and all of the birthdays we have coming up. We are having Thanksgiving at our house this year. I'm really looking forward to hosting & have been making my lists already. So I will leave you with some pictures of nephew Ben I took last week while it was still nice out.

I can hardly get a picture of him without squinty eyes. He is saying cheese and puts everything into it including his face.

He is running towards the barn to get on the Ranger.

Had a little spill.

I'm okay!

Little Mr. Independent.

Squints Palledorous (name that movie)

Ben & CyCy. Trying to take a picture of myself & a short kid is hard thus me being sideways :)

Grandpa's Cowboy Hat

On Saturday Dad had another garage sale. We had more stuff left from Grandma's house and he didn't have anymore room to put stuff. We found my Grandpa's cowboy hat. I'm so glad I have this hat :)

Birthday Boy

Today was Brent's birthday. He wanted to go to Sanger, TX to eat at Babe's.

If you are ever in North Texas, do yourself a favor and go eat at Babe's. There are several locations to pick from. They also have a steak place that's suppose to be really good but we haven't made it there. Yet :)

Cute right? Painted tractor seats.

We got there about 20 minutes before they opened. This place fills up fast, and usually has a long wait so Brent opened up his gifts while we waited.

He showed me this grinder a few weeks ago. I kept the flyer so I would get the right thing. He forgot that he showed it to me so he was surprised. Yesssss!

I knew Hannah had made some cards for her Dad but this one she took to school so her classmates could sign it too. She makes my heart full.

Hannah wanted her picture taken sitting on the tractor out front.

The birthday boy and the chicken.

Hannah let the waitress know really fast that it was Brent's birthday because she knew they make the birthday people put on a chicken hat. Brent started gobbling. It's not a turkey honey.

And nothing ends a wonderful birthday dinner more than a birthday biscuit.

Happy Birthday Brent. I love you more and more each day.

The Beginnings Of A Mancave

On Sunday Brent worked on his shop all day. We lived in here before we started and while we were building our house. He has moved walls to seperate the building with one half being his "mancave". I was going to make a section into a scrapbook room but I didn't want to worry about mice chewing on my stuff.

My Dad gave us his pool table. He is the sweetest. He just wanted a steak dinner in exchange. Can do!

After this project is finished, I may never see Brent again. Except for, well, you know :)

This past Friday was Hannah's official last cheer thing. Sorry but WOO HOO!!! She was really nervous but they did awesome.

Deers in headlights.

Wildcats are ready, wildcats are smooth....................

The last thing I told her before she went down was lock your legs. She did.
