Vacation Day Five

July 21, 2009 ~ Today we went drove over to Glenwood Springs. They had an Adventure Park with a cave and a few rides so we thought it would be fun.

We had to get on a tram to go up the mountain.

Going up the mountain. It was like pulling teeth to get pictures of Colton. I think he was threatened right before this picture was taken :)

Colton rock climbing. This was the hardest spot and he made it to the top.

This was Hannah's first time to rock climb. I knew she would be good at it because she is a monkey. She made it to the top on all of the spots but the hardest and she almost made that one. If her arms were longer I know she would've made it to the top.

Both kids on the rock. They got their money worth just climbing.

My favorite we did on this day was the cave tour. I love caves mainly because it's cold.

This particular cave had a lot of cool formations. Can you see tinkerbell?

The kids on the swing. I'm so glad they enjoy rides.

Hannah on the trampoline.

Colton on the Alpine coaster.

And they serve this for the parents to have a fun adventure too :)

Here's a slide of all of the pictures I took on this day.

Vacation Day Four

July 20, 2009 ~ We got up and drove to Granite, CO so we could go white water rafting down the Arkansas River. It was cold and cloudy when we left the house. We had a little bit of a drive and I should have taken some Dramamine before leaving because it was hilly and weavey, ugh. Here are some pictures from our day.

Our yummy river guide Bishop. He was really nice and fun to look at :)

Getting ready to launch.

Going down the river. We went thru Brown's Canyon. I was really trying to get a lot of pictures but every time I tried we would have to start paddling again and I didn't want to be a slacker.

Looking back on Mount Harvard.

Brent and I during lunch break.

Getting ready to go again.

Hannah and Daddy

The Family

River rats we found.

The water was freezing.

Don't we look like professionals?

This was one of our favorite things we did on vacation. We are definitely going rafting again.

Vacation Day Three

July 19, 2009 ~ Another day of relaxing and hanging around the house. Hannah and I did go walk a little thru the neighborhood so I could take some pictures of the river.

Colton and Brent playing gin rummy. They played a lot of cards during vacation.

And Hannah ate lots of ice cream :)

Relaxing in the hot tub.

And Brent grilling out again.

I'm not sure if I'm going to make a mini album for our pictures or upload them to shutterfly and make a book. I've been playing around on shutterfly so I'm leaning towards doing a book. Price wise I think it will be close by the time I buy supplies.

Hannah started running this morning. She was up and at the track before 7:00 this morning. It has been a long day to say the least but it's getting us ready for getting up for school. Now to start working on Colton :)

Vacation Day Two

July 18, 2009 ~ We really didn't do anything exciting, just hung out around the house and relaxed. We did drive around to check out the area.

Hannah and Colton eating breakfast. I told you it was nothing exciting :)

View from the backyard.

The house we stayed at was next to the White River. I miss sleeping with the windows open and listening to the river at night.

Hannah enjoying the Jacuzzi.

Brent cooked out almost every night.

And Hannah looking down making sure all is right with the world.

In non-vacation news, Hannah just had some major wax problems. They irrigated her ear and got just a little bit out so we are putting drops in to soften the wax and try to irrigate it again later in the week. She is just glad it isn't infected because she wants to go with the cross country team to get shoes and go to a water park on Friday. You know, the important things in life :)

Vacation Day One

July 17, 2009 ~ The time had arrived, vacation, aaahhhh! We all needed the break. We had a 2 hour drive to the airport in OKC. I needed to run by the bank before leaving town so we went thru McDonald's for Brent and the kids to have breakfast. I opted to wait for Starbucks :) So while in the bank everyone had their breakfast in the car.

It took about 5 minutes in the bank so I took pictures while everyone finished up. Brent wanted to take my picture but I like taking my own picture because I can hide things that I want to hide :) and also delete until I find one that is okay.

So a picture of me. Not the best but there you go.

After checking in at the airport. We didn't have to wait in line at the ticket counter or at security. Everything went unbelievably smooth.

Colton is at that stage in his life that he is to "cool". He has flown once but the way he was acting you would of thought who flew every weekend. I'm glad he has confidence in himself. He has no self image problem what so ever :)

Hannah was so excited. This was her first time to fly.

Brent was excited too! He got to eat at Scholotzsky's in the airport. The only time he gets to eat Scholotzsky's if he is at Will Rogers Airport OKC or when he isn't with me. I can't stand their sandwiches.

Hannah in the air.

And Joe Cool in the air.

Check back tomorrow for Day 2.
