Vacation Day Eight (Part 1)

July 24, 2009 ~ We slept in and hung out at the hotel until lunch. Hannah wanted to swim some more so Brent and Colton went down to watch her and they played cards. I enjoyed some alone time :) After they got back we headed out for lunch. After lunch we went to Olympic Training Center. I thought it would be neat to see plus they gave a free tour of the campus.

Hannah, Colton & me

Countdown until the next winter and summer Olympics.

Love this sculpture.

They had posters up that listed the states and what athletes represented the states. 3 out of the 4 posters had Oklahoma spelled Okalahoma. How do you miss something like that? :)

Hannah getting ready to bobsled.

Swimming pool. This thing was massive. We didn't see Michael Phelps.

The weight room.

Shooting range.

The gym. This was one huge gym with partitions to seperate into 3 different gyms.

Dorms for the athletes.

Future karate Olympic champion.

Future Marco uhhh I mean water polo Olympic champion.

Last summer when the Olympics were on, Brent was watching the water polo. Colton walked in and said "is that anything like Marco Polo?". Well we lost it. We were crying we were laughing so hard. So that has been our little family's on going joke.

Vacation Day Seven

July 23, 2009 ~ We headed towards Colorado Springs this morning for the last leg of our vacation. We had a side trip to the Royal Gorge. If you ever have the chance to go it is a must see.

At Colorado Springs I got to go here ~

I've been wanting to go to Archiver's forever. It was fun and Brent and the kids were very patient letting me stay as long as I wanted.

Vacation Day Six

July 22, 2009 ~ We did absolutely nothing on this day. We stayed at the house and played cards. I did laundry all day getting ready for our last couple of days of vacation.

We are getting excited about school starting back. Let me rephrase that; Hannah & I are getting excited about school starting back. I have 8 more days until I will have a quite house. Oh how much joy that will bring to me. I need to take them clothes shopping which I'm dreading because it is still so hot. I hate shopping in the heat. Oh well, it's the price I will pay to have a quite house :)

Vacation Day Five

July 21, 2009 ~ Today we went drove over to Glenwood Springs. They had an Adventure Park with a cave and a few rides so we thought it would be fun.

We had to get on a tram to go up the mountain.

Going up the mountain. It was like pulling teeth to get pictures of Colton. I think he was threatened right before this picture was taken :)

Colton rock climbing. This was the hardest spot and he made it to the top.

This was Hannah's first time to rock climb. I knew she would be good at it because she is a monkey. She made it to the top on all of the spots but the hardest and she almost made that one. If her arms were longer I know she would've made it to the top.

Both kids on the rock. They got their money worth just climbing.

My favorite we did on this day was the cave tour. I love caves mainly because it's cold.

This particular cave had a lot of cool formations. Can you see tinkerbell?

The kids on the swing. I'm so glad they enjoy rides.

Hannah on the trampoline.

Colton on the Alpine coaster.

And they serve this for the parents to have a fun adventure too :)

Here's a slide of all of the pictures I took on this day.

Vacation Day Four

July 20, 2009 ~ We got up and drove to Granite, CO so we could go white water rafting down the Arkansas River. It was cold and cloudy when we left the house. We had a little bit of a drive and I should have taken some Dramamine before leaving because it was hilly and weavey, ugh. Here are some pictures from our day.

Our yummy river guide Bishop. He was really nice and fun to look at :)

Getting ready to launch.

Going down the river. We went thru Brown's Canyon. I was really trying to get a lot of pictures but every time I tried we would have to start paddling again and I didn't want to be a slacker.

Looking back on Mount Harvard.

Brent and I during lunch break.

Getting ready to go again.

Hannah and Daddy

The Family

River rats we found.

The water was freezing.

Don't we look like professionals?

This was one of our favorite things we did on vacation. We are definitely going rafting again.
